The British travel association ABTA announced the 10 main destinations to visit in 2014, where Portugal occupies 9th position.
According to the Travel Trends Report 2014, published last December, the TOP10 list is led by Brazil, followed by the Caribbean and Costa Rica.
The same study reveals that domestic tourism should become stronger next year and that the baby boomer generation, between 55 and 64 years old, will grow in tourism.
Consumers continue to prefer destinations “close to home”, making countries such as Spain, Greece, Italy, Turkey and France benefit from this trend.
